How to Configure GroupMail to Send Through Your GoDaddy SMTP Mail Server
GoDaddy offers great value on web hosting. As a GoDaddy customer, you can also use their outgoing SMTP mail server to send your email campaigns. Under basic hosting packages, they allow customers to send only 250 emails per day through their outgoing mail server. They do offer business plans, however, which allow you to send up to 1,000 messages per hour.
To configure GroupMail to send through the GoDaddy SMTP mail server, use the settings below:
SMTP server address: smtpout.secureserver.net
SMTP Port number: 80
SMTP Authentication: Yes, use your GoDaddy domain email address and password
* If you are having problems connecting to the GoDaddy server, try using Port 3535 as the outgoing SMTP Port.

I originally submitted this question of how to configure GroupMail to GoDaddy SMTP Mail Server. I tried configuring SMTP Port to 80, and 3535, as you suggested… failed connection. Previously, I had tried Ports 587 and 465… failed connection. However, Port 465 does work for accessing and sending emails via GoDaddy mail server, remotely via Thunderbird. Can you offer an other suggestions or Port numbers to get GroupMail working? Thanks.
Disregard last email. Tried Port 80 again – this time unchecked “Server requires SSL connection”. It works now. Thanks.
