How to Configure GroupMail to Send Through Your BellSouth SMTP Mail Server
Technically, it is not a BellSouth SMTP mail server at all. That’s because BellSouth is actually part of the AT&T empire now. So, while you still may have an @bellsouth.net email address, you are actually sending your messages through an AT&T mail server.
Here are the BellSouth SMTP mail server settings:
1. SMTP Server Address: smtp.att.yahoo.com
2. SMTP Port Number: 465 w/SSL checked
3. SMTP Authentication: Yes, use SMTP Authentication with your full @bellsouth email address and password
** The AT&T/Yahoo server may require that you use the same email address in the From and Reply-to fields on your settings (@att.net or @bellsouth.net or @sbcglobal.net, etc.) You would also use this full email address for SMTP authentication.
Does anyone still send successfully using the mail.bellsouth.net mail server? I’d be interested to know if that still works.
