How to Export MS Access Contacts as a .CSV File and Import Them into GroupMail

Exporting MS Access database records as a .csv file isn’t always so straightforward. However, there is an export utility in MS Access that allows you to do this.

How to Export MS Access Database contacts as a .csv file

  1. Open the Access Table that you want to export
  2. Click File (Menu) –> Export
  3. Save as Type –> Text Files (Don’t use the “Save Formatted” option)
  4. In the Export Text Wizard, select “Delimited” and click Next
  5. Select “Comma” delimiter and “As Text” qualifier
  6. Select “Use Field Names on First Row” if you want a header row (although this isn’t necessary)
  7. Click “Next” and give the file a name that you will remember for importing later.

You can then import that .csv file into GroupMail.
