Easy Email List Segmentation: Use GroupMail Filters
Not everyone has the strategically segmented email lists in place needed to send targeted email marketing campaigns. In fact, many businesses work from one, large email list. That’s cool though, because GroupMail makes it easy to send an email campaign to specific subsets of an email list whenever you want to.
Here’s how to do it.
Create your message as normal and select the group to send it to. Click Send, and on the Prepare to Send Message window, click the Set Filters link in the Options section of the screen. Here, you can create a number of filter criteria for the message.
In the example above, the email campaign will only be sent to recipients on your email list who have @aol.com email addresses and live in Bellingham with a zip code of 98225 and who joined the email list after September 25th, 2006. You can do the reverse as well, and “Exclude Where” recipients meet the filter criteria that you specify. GroupMail will do the rest and send a targeted email campaign to only that portion of your email list who meet the criteria you specify.

Hello
I have one large list and would like to segment it. How do I segment my long list.
Hi Tom, there are several ways to do this in GroupMail, such as using the filters mentioned above, storing different segments of the list in several groups in GroupMail, if your list is stored in a database, you can use SQL queries/views for different segments. Maybe drop us an email to support (at] infacta.com explaining your want to achieve in more detail and where your list is currently stored, we should be able to suggest something to suit your needs.
pls is there any thing i have to do so that my mails can be sent to my recipients with out delays and failures, pls if any settings or any technical problem pls send me a solution to this problem am having to my mail box lccau85@yahoo.com
Hi Tom. Please send us the General Status Log for the last message you tried to send so we can take a look.
To do this, go into your Sent Messages folder and right-click on the sent item. Select “View Logs” and click “View” to open the General Status Log. Save this file to your Desktop (or copy and paste all contents) and attach it to an email to support@infacta.com.
We will be able to check your settings and any errors you are getting.
How do you access SQL views via groupmail business edition?
Hi Scott. You can link GroupMail to your SQL database and view recipients from within your GroupMail group. You can also enter a SQL Query in your Database to display records in your External Group
I hope that this helps.
